Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons tahini paste

Instructions:

Set the oven temperature to 175C 350F

Mix the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and melted butter thoroughly in a mixing bowl

After adding the egg and vanilla extract, whisk the mixture until it's smooth

Mix the baking soda, salt, and all-purpose flour in a different bowl

Mixing until a dough forms, gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ones

Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and stir

Press the cookie dough evenly into an ovenproof pan or cast-iron skillet that has been greased

To make the tahini paste easier to work with, heat it for about 20 seconds in a small microwave-safe bowl

To create a marbled effect, drop spoonfuls of tahini over the cookie dough in the skillet and swirl it around with a knife

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in a preheated oven, or until the center is set and the edges are golden brown

Let the skillet cookie cool a little before cutting into pieces and serving
